ORTEC Healthcare is leveraging data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning and cutting-edge techniques to push the healthcare industry to the next level. We develop software applications for medical care and (bio)medical research: clinical decision-making tools, medical workflow support and applications for scientific research. These applications cover a broad area of medicine, e.g. cardiovascular medicine (most notably U-Prevent), oncology, lung disease and various other disciplines (e.g. rheumatology, pregnancy, toxicological prediction models).

In this role as DevOps Engineer you take care of all our products, improving automation and security constantly. Controlling our deployment processes in Azure is key. You work with TeamCity, you create build pipelines in Kotlin and perform cloud maintenance in Powershell. Security is something you breathe.

As we have several products, and teams, your work will be diverse. Some projects are multi talent build, while in other projects you use Docker/Kubernetes. Besides the diversity project-wise, you work with several teams, consisting in total of 12 - 14 people, based within and beyond the boundaries of the Netherlands, which makes our team a truly international and multicultural team.

Although being part of that great team, you have a stand-alone role in DevOps, and therefore it is of utmost importance that you are intrinsically motivated and you thrive when given autonomy. Candidate/profile

* CI/CD tooling
* Cloud Native patterns and tools (Docker, Kubernetes...)
* Microservice architectures
* Database administration (mysql/mongo/redis)
* Monitoring/alerting infrastructure (eg: Graylog, Prometheus)
* Comfortable with handling high complexity
* Proven experience with Azure and Powershell
* Experience with Windows and Linux system administration and scripting
* Experience with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
* At least 3 years of relevant experience
* A self-starter, with great ability to work independently
* Able to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written
* Willing to develop yourself continuously
* (Preferred) Experienced in the Healthcare industry
* (Preferred) Experience with ISO27001 certification or similar
* Conscientious in staying abreast of new developments
* Inquisitive, creative and enthusiastic about sharing your ideas and know-how

* Holding a Bachelor or Master's in Information Technology or comparable
* Willingness to take part in on-call duties to support our customers 24/7 (approx. 8 weeks per year). You will be generously compensated
