* Developing ML-based services (or extending and improving our existing services) that support our users in decision making.
* Iterate over the full life cycle of ML/data models: data analysis, data preprocessing, modelling, tuning, pipeline and productization.
* Analyzing existing data and understanding user needs.
* Devise strategies for collection of data when necessary.
* Collaborate with human experts to enrich data and quality control, prove effectiveness of the new services.
* Sharing experiments and results with technical and non-technical audiences showing the impact on our users.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist/ML Engineer to join the Applied Research team at SkinVision. In this role, you will be in charge of developing new ML-based solutions that improve our existing skin cancer detection service, bringing it to the next level. As a Data Scientist/ML Engineer in the Applied Research team you will develop ML-based solutions and improve our existing ones. You will bring fresh ideas from the research stage all the way to production-ready and solve complex and innovative challenges in the domains of probabilistic and bayesian ML, uncertainty estimation, computer vision, deep ensembles, and more. You will do this as part of a small team, consisting of highly motivated colleagues to improve health care systems. We work in a highly changing environment where priorities can change. The ideal candidate can think out of the box and acts strategically to discern which problems are important, articulating to the rest of team their ideas and the impact they can have on our users., * At least 3 years of experience, preferably in a medical or commercial setting.
* Strong understanding of probabilities in real world decision making.
* Background in math, statistics, computer science, data science or similar.
* Experience in Python and modern machine learning frameworks.
* Able to deliver production ready components.
* Motivated to work and get things done in a continuously evolving environment.
* Good collaboration and communication skills.
