We are very excited to announce George Kamiya as our speaker for this event!

George Kamiya is an energy policy analyst at the International Energy Agency (IEA), where he coordinates work on digitalisation and tracking clean energy progress, and leads the agency’s analysis on ICT energy use and new mobility. He was a lead author of the 2017 Digitalization & Energy report and has contributed to the agency’s work on climate change, electricity security, and critical minerals

Digital technologies have been hailed both as a potential enabler of emission reductions throughout society, as well as a fast-growing sector facing increasing scrutiny over its own energy and carbon footprint. In his presentation, George will explore how digitalization could help or hinder climate action.

The talk will last for about 40 minutes, after which there will be ample time for questions and discussion. Join us to learn more about the defining issues of our time. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
